Process
Each piece is handmade by Naoko Nishizu-Audic in her Paris studio. The designs are developed by a simultaneous process of sketching drawings, making physical samples. Her architectural background and Japanese heritage informs her design aesthetic of structured forms, simple detailing and fixings.
The prism motifs of the jewellery are hand-sawed, hand-polished and then assembled to the measurements of the geometry. It is a time-consuming process, but allows total control of the balance, scale and character of each piece. They are produced in small series due to the handmade nature of these unique pieces.
Through travelling from city to city, country to country, memorable impressions have formed inspirations and reflect a certain spirit in the jewellery created. Sydney is the sunny hometown, Paris holds the beautiful old world charm, and Barcelona gave a burst of energy in a recent trip.
